About Me

ProGuide Inspections, LLC is owned and operated by Darren Simonson. He earned degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Applied Electronics from Boise State University in the 1990’s. He has personally built and owned several homes as he has raised his family in and around the Treasure Valley of Idaho, as well as renovating projects.
Darren spent 8 years working as a realtor so he intimately understands the process from the buyer and seller viewpoint. He started ProGuide Inspections as a way to integrate his background in engineering in developing a home inspection process that is based on understanding structures, thermal systems and energy transfer and mechanical systems.
Darren understands all of the information contained within a home inspection can be overwhelming and he makes sure to clearly communicate the details as well as provide a cutting edge, comprehensive report for future reference.

In his spare time, Darren enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors of Idaho with camping and fishing at the top of the list. He is also an avid Boise State Bronco fan.
